The cycling ecosystem in Delhi is pretty good and the variety of people who have actually required to leisure and expert biking in the city has actually increased significantly over the last few years. Step out early in the morning, to India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Rajpath, and you will see cyclists in their vibrant outfit, riding their high-end machines. As with many other cities all over the world, the biking community in Delhi is close knit and welcoming to brand-new cyclists. If you are new to the riding, you will quickly find a terrific group of people to cycle with. Exactly what I personally like about Delhi's biking culture is the easy-going friendship that we share. The smiles and waves I get on my morning rides from fellow cyclists make my day.
#1. Dhaula Kuan to 11 Murti on Sardar Patel Marg
While riding from Dhaula Kuan to Gyarah (11) Murti, you will come across a moderate downhill that makes pedalling simple. You will love the speed you gain on this stretch. Contribute to this the cool air from ridge forests and you have a quick and breezy biking section early in the morning. Perfect to produce the best rush you require to leap start your day.
#2. Rashtrapati Bhawan to India Gate
This is a majestic stretch. Stand on Raisina Hill and you will understand what I am speaking about! With Rashtrapati Bhawan on one side, India Gate on the other side, and Rajpath running all the way-- this is a sight that fills you with pride. Mornings at Rajpath have lots of bicyclists, runners, children skating and people playing sports. Exactly what do you get? A great deal of happy smiling faces and a great deal of positive energy early in the morning.
#3. Najafgarh Wetlands
This roadway is on the borders of Delhi and links Dwarka to Haryana. The path runs along the Najafgarh drain. Thanks to its location, traffic is sparse on this stretch and the location is lavish green. Stunning sunrise, greenery, and thousands of birds make it one of my favorite biking hotspots in the city. Winters bring thousands of migratory birds from Siberia and you can spot Northern Pintails, Bar headed geese, to name a few, here.
#4. Gurgaon-Faridabad Road
This is arguably the very best roadway for training on your cycle in Delhi- NCR. The road includes a number of uphill and downhill sections on which you can challenge yourself as well as have a terrific time. Practically the entire road has forest areas together with, so cycling here is rather invigorating. You will fulfill a large number of cyclists and runners on this popular hotspot.
#5. Sanjay Van in Qutub Institutional Area
This forest location in the heart of Delhi is a dream come true for any physical fitness lover. There is a gravel track running inside the forest which is excellent for cycling. The forest has a couple of Machans (watch towers) that give you an exceptional view of the surrounding area. Check out this location and you will be amazed at its beauty.
#6. Asola Bhardwaj Lake
This is my individual favorite. There are around seven lakes in the area and, believe me - each one is much better than the other! The rocky off-road gravel track is perfect for cyclists who delight in off-road or single track cycling. The uphill and downhill sections integrated with rocky areas are just perfect for mountain bicycle riders. Beginners might discover this track tough and will have to walk throughout numerous areas. The area is bursting with bird and animal life and if you are fortunate, you might find a Nilgai or Asian antelope, porcupines, rabbits and even jackals. Since the forest has no vehicular traffic, there is no pollution on this stretch.
